Weston Scholarship Alumna: Nicole Magnolia
Nicole Magnolia won the Weston Scholarship's Roman Loranc Award in 2014 for her expressive silver gelatin prints that took our judges' breath away. She is currently studying at the California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco and making art in Big Sur, California.
We continue to be impressed by Nicole and can't wait to watch the unraveling of what we know will be an overwhelmingly successful career.
On the work you'll find below, Nicole says:
My work is inspired by empowered femininity, mysticism, patterns and cycles in nature and my community of inspiring artist and musician friends.
Some of the images are photographs, some double exposures on 35mm, some are handcut collages of silver prints and found images, and some are digital collage.
