The Facing Seaside Exhibition at The Weston Collective
We had such an amazing turnout at The Facing Seaside Exhibition at The Weston Collective. It was really great to have the businesses and their crews come out and support. There is a rich community here in Seaside and we are happy to be getting more involved with it. Already we have met so many amazing individuals who are doing great things here.
Huge thank you to all the businesses for partaking in this project and allowing us to take a deep look within their history. Photographing the store fronts and the people that make them run was a special experience for sure. We are thankful for the opportunity.
We want to also thank the photographers who came out and took photos of the event. Carlos Castro, Jorge Torres, and Robert Daniels all shared their photographic talent with us that night. They are all inspiring artists within the community that we feel blessed to be in contact with. Definitely keep an eye out on these guys, they are going to continue to do great things!
Stay tuned for more news on upcoming projects within the community. Our next round of businesses will be announced soon. During this go we are going to have students take portraits of the business owners. When I mentioned that to the students they were extremely excited to be part of the project.

We can’t wait to learn more about the businesses on Broadway Avenue and in Seaside as a whole. The culture of a community is majorly centered around the businesses that help maintain the local economy. These businesses are the heartbeat of a city. We plan on showing our students positive role models and mentors to look up to as we visit more businesses in our area.
