The deadline for submission of the portfolio and support materials is Friday April 26. The work must be delivered to the MPC photography lab IC105 from 3 - 4 PM by the above deadline in order to be considered for the competition. Contact at MPC is Kevin Bransfield. April 27-28, 2013
Judging will occur the weekend of April 27-28, and the winners will be notified that weekend as well. We will be contacting you by phone and by email so please check your email during this time.
May 1 - May 31, 2013
There will be a public exhibition of the winners at the Marjorie Evans Gallery, which is located at The Sunset Center in Carmel.
Wednesday May 8, 2013 - Award Ceremony 6-7pm
The award ceremony and opening will be held at the Marjorie Evans Gallery on Wednesday May 8. Winners must pick up their portfolios at the reception. Check in to get your name tag so we know that you have arrived.
Thursday May 2, 2013 4-6pm
Non-winner’s must pick up their portfolios on Thursday May 2 between the hours of 4-6pm (or arrange to have someone pick it up for you). A Weston Scholarship representative will be available for portfolio reviews to help suggest how to set new goals for next year’s contest.
JUDGING
The portfolios will be judged by a panel of respected local artists and educators. Judging is based on uniqueness, clarity, consistency of vision, and the quality of a finished print. (printing, mounting and spotting)
