Wet Plate Collodion Workshop with Allan Barnes
Behind the Scenes
When you read this post, did a little bit off you get super sad thinking you had missed your opportunity for who knows how long to learn the Wet Plate Collodion process and to make amazing and historical photographic plates? Well, worry no more because this post is highlighting past workshops Allan has taught and we still have space in ours coming up in June!
Having a creative outlet is especially important right now, and why not learn a historical photographic process like Wet Plate Collodion? During Allan’s workshop, we will be specifically making tintypes and ambrotypes. This is a truly unique experience that you won’t want to miss!
Participants are highly encouraged to be vaccinated. If not, a COVID test 1 day prior to the workshop would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your understanding!
Large Format, Period Correct Cameras
Allan ensures that the equipment used during the workshop is the same style that would have been used in the 1800’s when Tintypes and Ambrotypes were the common methods of photography. Large format view cameras help produce a stunning final image that will amaze you with the quality it renders.
